Stuart Piazza’s Official Blog

After an embarrassing attempt to launch without any support from the record industries in the recent past, QTrax is trying once more to launch today, supposedly offering millions of free and legal P2P music tracks for our listening pleasure.
If you download the client, which is based off of the Mozilla based Songbird, you are able to register for a Qtrax account and receive this very exciting message:
We are in process of updating Qtrax with a new version and will be back by 2.00 PM EST. You can browse the site during this time but will not be able to login or register. Thank you for your patience.
If this is indeed true, then Qtrax is right around the corner, today, and we will hopefully soon have access to their huge catalog. More updates as they happen.
Update 2:00 PM EST -
We are in process of updating Qtrax with a new version and will be back by 4.00 PM EST. You can browse the site during this time but will not be able to login or register. Thank you for your patience.
Update 8:23 EST - Things seem to be going smoothly and you can now download songs. I downloaded a few and had a security error. If you are getting the error also, or if your songs are simply not playing click here (Internet Explorer only unfortunately) and it should be resolved. Everything is pretty cool and fast but most of the songs (like Bright Eyes) still say “coming soon”. Definitely worth a check out.

Hi, I just added you to the recipro drop list on my blog. However, I deleted your email. Could you let me know what that is.
As for the list, we ask that you try to drop every day. We understand that things do come up, so if you are going to be gone for an extended period of time to please let us know.
